CAD / 3D Printing

"3D printing is already shaking our age-old notions of what can and can't be made."

Hod Lipson

I have been playing around with computer aided design (CAD) programs for a very long time. Every since Google SketchUp, now known as Trimble SketchUp, was released back in 2001 it has been my go to program for creating anything 3D, or even aiding me with designing precision 2D drawings.

Now with the ability for the average person to have their own 3D printer bring my creations from SktechUp to life has never been more in my reach. Thanks to the Monoprice Maker Select V2 that I recently acquired I will be diving head first into the world of 3D printing along with millions of others. This is truly an exciting time for techy / creative world.

While CAD and 3D Printing compliment each other they are two inexpedient subjects. One of which I've been doing for a very long time and the other just starting to get my feet wet. Learn more about each by selecting a concentration below.
